Gosling wants to capitalize on his ‘Barbie’ fame, even at the expense of his family, it seems.
.
Ryan Gosling is reportedly hoping to make a sequel to Barbie, even though reports say he’s struggling to make time for his family.
“It’s truly been the best of times and the worst of times for Ryan, all in the span of the last few months,” a source told Life and Style. “Barbie made him a permanent A-lister and exceeded all expectations, and his Oscars singing performance made him an instant Hollywood legend and won him tons of new fans.”
Gosling has already graced fans with a new movie, The Fall Guy, though it hasn’t had the blockbuster success Barbie has. The source says Ryan is convinced the Margot Robbie franchise is his best chance at staying relevant.
Gosling Allegedly Wants A Barbie Sequel To Stay Relevant

“His planned takeover of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise that his onetime mentor George Clooney once helmed has been pushed down the road to get the budget under control,” they continued. “It’s become increasingly clear that more Barbie is the only sure bet he’s got.”
The main challenge right now is apparently getting Margot Robbie to sign on. She’s supposed to star with Gosling in the Ocean’s reboot, but she’s never confirmed whether she’d do a sequel to Barbie.
“He’ll have to move heaven and earth to get a sequel or a Ken spinoff made because those movies don’t happen without Margot Robbie involved,” the source continued. “and she’s committed herself to literally a dozen other projects at the moment.”
“It’s so strange that just a couple of months ago the world was Ryan’s oyster and now he’s had this splash of cold water thrown in his face,” they added. “He has no choice but to go back and play the hits!”
Ryan Reportedly Struggles To Make Time For His Family
Via: InstarWhile Gosling is reportedly determined to focus on the upwards trajectory of his career, it may take a toll on his family. One new report claims the actor struggles to divide his time professionals and personally.
“Ryan had a wild ride in 2023, firmly becoming an A-lister completely on his own terms with Barbie, and now you’re seeing the consequences of that,” a source told In Touch, claiming that Ryan is more in-demand than eve thanks to Barbie and he doesn’t to say no to opportunities.
‘The Fall Guy’ was accused of trivializing domestic violence before it even hit theatres.
“Ryan is being inundated with charitable requests, which he takes very seriously, and fashion and lifestyle brands are after him for his endorsement, which is less of a priority but the man has a family to feed,” they continued. “But his new status also leaves precious little time for that family, and Eva continues to decline to make personal appearances with him because she’s so focused on being a mom.”
There were previous reports Gosling wanted to take a break from acting following Barbie to spend time with his family, but given that he keeps coming out with films, he’s possibly changed his mind.
