Timothée Chalamet didn’t attend the 2024 Met Gala, choosing not to make his debut with girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, there.
Chalamet has been in the New York area recently, filming the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. Last week, photos from him on set in Newark, New Jersey were released.

He last attended the Met Gala in 2021, when he served as a co-chair and wore an all-white ensemble by Haider Ackermann that included sweatpants. The theme that year was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.”

Notably, Chalamet and Jenner attended the Golden Globes together in January. Following that very public appearance, the couple retreated from the limelight. They chose not to attend any more events together and were only seen once in public by fans.
A source told Us Weekly in late April that the two were still dating, despite breakup rumors.
That insider also shut down false rumors that they’re expecting, saying, “Kylie is not pregnant.” The source added that they’ve been in a long-distance relationship lately as Chalamet has worked on the East Coast. Jenner, of course, is based in Los Angeles. “Kylie and Timothée have been keeping in touch while he’s been in [Manhattan] filming and are still together,” that source said.
In October, Chalamet addressed his desire for privacy during an interview with GQ. The magazine reporter suggested if Chalamet “really wanted to be left alone, he might not spend time with one of the four most followed people on Instagram, [Jenner].”
Chalamet nodded and laughed. He said, “This reminds me of that recent South Park episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour [which was a parody of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and had their characters traveling around the world, demanding privacy]. Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you’re trying to live a private life.”
