Sky and NOW releases in August include The Body Next Door and Rob and Romesh Vs. (Sky)
Sky users will have a lot to dive into over the course of August as the company and its sister streaming platform NOW is bringing a lot of new content for users to enjoy this summer.
From the exclusive UK debut of The Waking Dead spin-off Daryl Dixon, to the streaming release of superhero film Madame Webb, there’s plenty to binge. There will also be a gripping true crime series The Body Next Door, and Sky’s fiery second season of House of the Dragon is coming to its conclusion on Monday, 5 August.
Here is what you need to know about the highlights of the month.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon | 2 August

Norman Reedus’ solo adventure as Daryl Dixon is finally coming to Sky in August, the show has already been renewed for a third season at AMC which means viewers can sit back and enjoy knowing that the show’s future is assured.
The Walking Dead spin-off sees Daryl try and reconfigure his life after washing up on the French coast, he travels to Paris where he must try and figure out how and why he ended up there. Reedus is joined in the series by Clémence Poésy, Nicolas Dozol, and Laïka Blanc-Francard, while Melissa McBride also returns as Carol Peletier in the show.

In 2015 the residents of sleepy former mining village of Beddau, in Wales, was shocked to its core when a body was discovered in a secure garden of a residential estate when a prank went wrong. The remains were that of John Sabine, who had gone missing in 1997 and who remained undiscovered until November 2015 as his body was hiding in plain sight.

Dakota Johnson’s debut in the Sony Marvel universe was more of a whimper than a bang in the box office, it’s true, but that doesn’t mean Madame Webb won’t interest film fans when it lands on streaming.
The movie follows Johnson’s Cassandra Webb, a paramedic who works in Manhattan who begins to be targeted by a mysterious villain. During her escape from him she encounters a group of young women and the quartet form a bond that will change their lives forever.

Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan are a dream comedy team, which is why Sky viewers will be delighted to know a brand new series of their Rob and Romesh Vs show will premiere in August. Like in pervious years the duo will take on new challenges such as UFC, head to Download festival to enjoy Heavy Metal, and learning to become stunt performers in Hollywood.
