Stafford’s new mansion was once owned by a well-known celebrity

LOS Angeles Rams star quarterback Matthew Stafford bought a massive and luxurious California mansion which happens to be next to his secret vineyard property.

The 36-year-old two-time NFL Pro Bowler’s new house in Calabasas is also next to Kim Kardashian’s home.

Last December, Stafford and his wife, Kelly, purchased the 15,000-square-foot hilltop mansion in Hidden Hills.

They bought the property for $28 million which is the priciest home ever sold near the area.

Matthew’s new mansion transaction came a year after he signed a four-year, $160 million contract with the Rams.

The former record was a $26 million estate that was purchased in 2013.

The pair bought the latter in March of 2022.

After their latest estate acquisition, the Staffords now own a three-acre compound with two luxury homes and two swimming pools.

Both of the properties have a collective value of close to $40 million.

Matthew’s new Hidden Hills mansion is also in close proximity to the Kardashians residence.

The NFL couple has now bought at least five houses in the Hidden Hills guarded and gated community in the last five years.

And the latest Stafford home resides atop “hallowed celebrity ground,” per the Robb Report.

The property used to be half the estate for Jennifer Lopez, who lived there from 2010 to 2017.

In 2021, the mansion was bulldozed and the estate has since broke up into two parcels.

One of the parcels now belongs to the Staffords.

The other parcel is populated by another new spec mansion that’s listed for sale at $40 million.

Matthew and Kelly’s new home is a “glassy contemporary-meets-modern farmhouse … with a dash of Napa Valley retreat,” according to Robb.

The gabled roofline is set side-by-side with the glass, wood, and stone.

Hidden Hills has been the unofficial meetup stop for Stafford and former and current Rams.

Other than Stafford, the residents of the community include players Cooper Kupp, head coach Sean McVay, as well as former Rams stars Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald.
