Agatha All Along was a major success on Disney+. Despite it being marketed as a limited series, there might be an exciting future up ahead.

At Disney D23 Brasil, Marvel Studios teased many upcoming projects, and Agatha All Along and Loki were among them. Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum spoke with CinePop and had encouraging updates for both series. Agatha All Along recently wrapped with many loose ends, marking the end of the second in a trilogy of series started by WandaVision, and the series received positive reviews from the audience and the critics. As for the Tom Hiddleston-led series, a new season might not be far-fetched.

In the interview, Winderbaum teased that Agatha All Along might drop the miniseries label and could have a future Season 2, as the interviewer highlighted the way Agatha All Along was submitted for the upcoming awards season. “I think that we all want to see more adventures in Westview,” the producer teased. “That poor town, can they catch a break between WandaVision and Agatha? Come on.”

Speaking about its success, Winderbaum praised the show’s “amazing storytelling” and its creator, Jac Schaeffer, who was also the creative mind behind WandaVision. “Jac Schaeffer has an incredible imagination, and she had a vision for this show and these characters that really was unique and allowed Kathryn Hahn to embody this character so significantly that I feel, as an actress, she’s forever going to be bonded to Agatha Harkness.”

The Marvel exec also had a teaser about Loki Season 3. The series aired its Season 2 finale a year ago in November 2023 and, so far, there has been no update about the God of Mischief. Asked about a possible Season 3, Winderbaum said, “There’s always a chance.” He didn’t detail further but Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has been a big presence in the MCU since 2011’s Thor, and he might return for more adventures.

At the same time, Winderbaum explained that Marvel will switch its scheduling for the future to avoid oversaturation. “You know, I think it’s gonna be variable. We’re gonna aim at two, it might be two and a half, it might be one some years. We have a long development process now, so we’re gonna go into production on projects we really believe in.” At the same time, during the same event, Kevin Feige teased that, starting in 2026, there will be only two Marvel films a year.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Also Received a Positive Teaser

Agatha All Along‘s popularity couldn’t fail to include the conversation about Elizabeth Olsen’s character, Wanda/ Scarlet Witch. For the time being, the last everyone knows about Wanda is that she apparently died at the end of 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the recent Disney+ show teased she was “gone,” not dead. With her son, Billy Maximoff, finding a way to come back to life through Joe Locke’s character William, fans expect Wanda to come back, especially with a new series following Paul Bettany’s Vision called Vision Quest in development.

Jac Schaeffer was supposed to be a showrunner for the third series, as well but she exited the project in September 2024 due to scheduling issues with Agatha All Along. Terry Matalas will serve as its showrunner, which is expected to start filming in early 2025 and debut on Disney+ in 2026.

Speaking about Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda at D23, Kevin Feige all but confirmed she would be back. “We had Agatha All Along on Disney+ just now, and that series was great for us,” Feige revealed. “Since then, many questions about Wanda have remained in the minds of fans… So, I can only say that we are excited to find out when and how Scarlet Witch can return,” he teased.
