The ABC series Lost premiered on Sept. 22, 2004, and aired for 121 episodes. The supernatural series was created by Jeffrey Lieber, known for Lucifer and Charmed. During its six-season run, the series featured several actors who have also appeared in The Walking Dead series.

The story follows a group of survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 traveling from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, California. The plane crashed on an island in the South Pacific and the story is in the current day while using flash forward and flashback sequences to reveal more about the survivors of the crash.

Lost is considered by many to be one of the greatest TV series of all time. It is also one of the most expensive to film due to the massive ensemble cast and filming location of Oahu, Hawaii. In 2024, the indie documentary Getting Lost, directed by Taylor Morden, was released. It features interviews with cast and crew and was financed entirely by crowdfunding. The documentary can be rented or purchased on Vimeo.

All six seasons of Lost are streaming on Netflix.
