Over the course of The Kardashian family’s 25 seasons of reality TV stardom, tears have been shed, fights have been had, and many babies have been born. Past seasons of the show saw two of the Kar-Jenners, Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian, butting heads. But, their relationship seems to be repaired these days.
Kourtney Kardashian has been seen arguing with her sisters during both Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK) and The Kardashians series. The relationships were tested so much that Kourtney once said she was “happiest” away from her family members. We take a look back at their biggest and baddest moments.
Khloé Kardashian played mediator for Kris and Kourtney
During KUWTK season 15, Khloé Kardashian expressed her surprise at her mom, Kris, and sister, Kourtney, being “at each other’s throats.”
Kris agreed the two were fighting and said she thought Kourtney was “going through a phase in her life where she has some anger inside.”
According to Khloé, Kourtney said she’d been “non-confrontational for the past 10 years and was finding her voice again.”
Kris said she wished her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian Sr, was around to tell Kourtney she had the “best, magical childhood.”
However, Khloé said she thought Kourtney resented her mom, specifically, not her childhood as a whole.
Reflecting on her childhood in another episode, Kourtney says: “My parents got a divorce because my mom had an affair.”
The Momager admitted to being unfaithful to her late husband in 1989, saying it was her ‘life’s biggest regret’.
Kris broke down in tears on the phone
Although Kris and Kourtney were at odds during season 15, as the show rolled on, they ended up both shedding tears and making amends.
Kris calls Kourtney in one episode after seeing their fight play out from the previous season. She tells her daughter she’s feeling “really bad” and begins to cry.
She says: “I just wanted to tell you that if you need somebody to talk to, then we should sit down because I just feel really bad.”
Kourtney also cries and says: “Thank you, I’m fine now. It’s just like everyone was ganging up on me for like two years. I feel fine now, but it’s just such a natural thing in our family where if someone goes in any way against what everyone else is doing, it just seems like they just attack.”
Khloé had her work cut out
Over the years, it seems to be Khloé who was tasked with helping build bridges for Kris and Kourtney.
She previously urged her sister to “not be so hard” on her mom.
When Kris missed Kourtney’s first photoshoot, Khloé also stepped in and supported her. She said her sister was p***ed off at their mom “and once you tick her off it’s like there’s no turning back.”
Kourtney said: “I’m never going to forgive her for this, and I’m never going to get over it.”
Kris said she wanted to “cry” and was scared to call Kourtney back.
Kris is at Rocky’s birth
Despite the two’s messy relationship over the years, Kris and Kourtney are on good terms these days.
During The Kardashians season 5, Kourtney goes into labor and gives birth to her fourth child, Rocky Barker.
Her initial birth plan didn’t involve her mom, but she explains during the show: “My mom is here.”
Kourtney’s security told her: “Your mom’s pulling up any second” despite Kris not being invited.
She explains Kris told her: “Oh, I’m just in the area. So, I’m gonna come by.”
Kourtney adds: “…She was not in the area. She came all the way from Hidden Hills.”
Kris oldest daughter goes on to add how her husband, Travis Barker, was a huge part of how her mom ended up in the delivery room.
Travis told her: “If my mom was alive, she would be here. Let your mom come.”
After allowing her mom to be there for Rocky’s birth, Kourtney told cameras the experience was “really special.”
She said: “I’m so happy that my mom was here… She’s very, like, comforting and I think it was a special time for me, her, and Travis, that we could all share that experience together.”
Kris was on hand to offer Kourtney her snacks as Frank Sinatra’s That’s Life played during the birth.
