The royal couple stepped out in public on Remembrance Sunday

It has been a difficult year for Kate Middleton, who has rarely been seen in public in 2024 amidst her ongoing cancer treatment. But followers of the British Royal Family — not to mention the family itself — were pleased to see Kate and her husband, Prince William, attend a ceremony on Remembrance Sunday to salute the fallen soldiers of the United Kingdom.
In a trying year for the royals that has seen Kate and King Charles III each battle cancer, Kate would not miss Remembrance Sunday, which she has attended for 14 consecutive years. The Princess of Wales dazzled at the otherwise-somber event, where she wore earrings that once belonged to Elizabeth II and reportedly had an interesting chat with Sophie Wessex, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Kate dishes on William’s beard
Lip-reading is a fun but imprecise art, but a professional speaking to The Sun believes she has cracked the code of Kate’s conversation with Sophie.
In the brief chat, Nicola Hackling insists that Sophie asked Kate if she liked William’s new beard — to which Kate responded “I find it quite rousing“. However, another lip reader speaking to the same publication revealed that Kate actually commented on the beard never quite being rounded rather than “rousing”.
Either way, William’s new look is capturing royal attention after the Prince of Wales told People magazine that his nine-year-old daughter Charlotte cried “floods of tears” when he debuted the facial hair.
And for what it’s worth, Kate does not appear to be the only one with something to say about William’s beard — the Duchess is said to have replied that it was a “nice beard” that is “a lot better now” compared to when William first appeared in public with it earlier this year.
