Even with two years gone since the mainline show ended, AMC’s Walking Dead universe continues to grow with new seasons of the spinoffs, Daryl Dixon and Dead City. That being said, with no other spinoffs confirmed in the works, some are starting to wonder if the franchise might be coming to an end soon, as well as just how it should end. Personally, I wouldn’t mind the franchise ending, as it has already kind of gone far beyond Robert Kirkman’s comics, even if the latter show has felt more fresh than the other. As to how it ends, audiences have been put through enough of an emotional rollercoaster that we deserve something of a heartwarming finale with most, if not all, current good characters reuniting in the Commonwealth and leading to the Walking Dead‘s comic ending, in which humanity has finally started to wrestle control of the world back from the undead.
