The new trailer hints at major conflict between all of Daryl Dixon‘s characters, indicating the storyline in France is finally coming to a close. With the remnants of the Nest and the Pouvoir joining forces to stop the protagonists from leaving, this upcoming episode will likely be the grand finale for how their group shapes the country moving forward. The same goes for many other major characters, such as Ash, who will seemingly be taking someone back to America, and Codron (Romain Levi), whose redemption appears to be coming full circle.

As for Daryl and Carol, the duo are destined not to return home, with Daryl Dixon season 3 already confirmed to be taking place in Spain. However, there’s no indication as to what Ash and Laurent’s fate will be, as the pair haven’t been confirmed yet to appear in the show’s future. This means something untoward could happen to the pair, especially after the main duo’s tearful hug at the end of the trailer. The other two could also go to America without them, keeping them safe while the other two decide trying to find an alternate way back.

Our Take On Daryl Dixon Season 2’s Finale Trailer

It Will Seemingly Deliver A Satisfying End

Given all the major characters will be fighting each other in one last battle, it seems Daryl Dixon will be delivering a satisfying conclusion to its storyline in France. This also means Daryl and Carol will likely be leaving for Spain, perhaps even heading toward their new European location by the end of the episode. While it’s unclear what this means for Laurent’s story and Ash’s involvement, we believe they’ll have a fitting ending that will resonate with the main themes of the show so far – likely one seeing both of them make it out alive.

The final episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2, titled “Au Revoir les Enfants,” airs Sunday, November 3 on AMC and AMC+.
