All Of Us Are Dead ends with the military taking some pretty drastic measures to keep the zombie outbreak contained in Hyosan. The final episode of the Netflix show (at least for now) sees the town getting bombed, with the hope of destroying the outbreak with fire.
For sure, it does destroy a lot of the zombies—and a few cast members along the way. However, there are enough human survivals to warrant a possible Season 2 in the coming months.
There are also a few characters whose deaths are assumed, but whose final moments we never see. Could they have found a novel way to escape the bombing, and return as “halfsies” in Season 2? Read on for some of the clues about who could make a surprise return.
But before you read on, a SPOILER WARNING: We’re about to get into the events of the finale, so read at your own risk.
Who Survives in All Of Us Are Dead?
Yang Dae-Su (Lim Jae-Hyeok) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” The class clown survives the show. NETFLIX
Yang Dae-Su (played by Lim Jae-Hyeok)
With the actual events of the zombie outbreak being pretty bleak on the show, viewers should be thankful that the show’s comic relief made it out alive. Though the bombing left Dae-Su with a leg injury, we see him get put into a quarantine camp at the end of the show.
Jang Ha-Ri (Ha Seung-Ri) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” The archer loses her brother in the first season. NETFLIXJang Ha-Ri (Ha Seung-Ri)
With some fearsome archery skills, Ha-Ri is going to be an asset for the survivors going forward. In Season 2, we will also see how she will be able to cope in the world now that she has lost her brother Woo-Jin (Son Sang-Yeon).
Seo Hyo-Ryung (Lisa Yamada) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” Despite having lost hope long ago, she survives the season. NETFLIXSeo Hyo-Ryung (Lisa Yamada)
Though she has not exactly kept herself out of trouble (like when she broke out of the quarantine camp) and has a tendency for losing hope when things get tough, Hyo-Ryung lives to lose hope another day.
Park Mi-Jin (Lee Eun-Saem) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” Her archery skills are likely to be useful in Season 2. NETFLIXPark Mi-Jin (Lee Eun-Saem)
Another of the bathroom group to survive All Of Us Are Dead Season 1, Eun-Saem will be sure to join Ha-Ri in defending the survivors with her archery skills.
Choi Nam-Ra (Cho Yi-Hyun) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” Her new zombie powers are sure to be explored next season. NETFLIXChoi Nam-Ra (Cho Yi-Hyun)
After being bitten in Episode 6, Choi becomes one of the “halfsies,” people who are able to overcome the zombie virus and gain powers from it—though that does not stop her from wanting to eat her classmates from time to time.
She ends the season jumping off the school roof to join her fellow hybrids—and if she can lead the group, she will be a powerful force in Season 2.
Nam On-Jo (Park Ji-Hu) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” She seems to have lost Cheong-San – but could he have survived the construction site explosion? NETFLIXNam On-Jo (Park Ji-Hu)
Though she has emerged from the outbreak mostly unscathed, On-Jo has seen plenty of tragedy in the series between losing Cheong-San (Yoon Chan-Young) and her father. In Season 2, we will learn whether her grief will affect her strong survival instincts.
Lee Su-Hyeok (Park Solomon) in “All Of Us Are Dead.” Will he still be able to love Nam-Ra now she’s half-zombie. NETFLIXLee Su-Hyeok (Park Solomon)
All Of Us Are Dead‘s love subplot looks set to continue, as both Nam-Ra and Su-Hyeok survive—though whether their love can survive her being a half-zombie remains to be seen. What is certain, though, is that the surviving teens will need his fighting skills to survive.
Who Else Might be Alive in All Of Us Are Dead Season 2?
In the finale, we see the construction site explode while Cheong-San (Yoon Chan-Young) and Gwi-Nam (Yoo In-Soo) were inside it, so the show very much wants us to think that they are dead.
But as every fan of horror and sci-fi knows, a character is never truly dead until you see the body.
Perhaps one of the new zombie powers they have acquired is being immune to flames. If fans respond to the two characters, do not be surprised if they make a return in the next season.
All Of Us Are Dead is streaming now on Netflix.
