Dead by Daylight may be getting ready to add a popular Walking Dead character to the game, as actor Norman Reedus has followed the game’s official Instagram account. Norman Reedus is well known for his portrayal of Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead series, and the character would make a great addition to Dead by Daylight and its long list of crossovers.

When it comes to the horror genre, Dead by Daylight has really thrived with its various crossovers that feature iconic characters and monsters from major horror franchises. From Resident Evil to the Scream franchise, Dead by Daylight‘s crossovers have become a cornerstone of the game through the years. The game is always bringing new characters into the fold, and thanks to recent Instagram activity, a major face from The Walking Dead seems to be on the lineup.

Norman Reedus recently followed the official Dead by Daylight Instagram account, which has quickly kickstarted rumors of The Walking Dead being one of the game’s next big crossovers. Usually, when actors or celebrities follow a game’s official account on either Twitter or Instagram, it is oftentimes a sign of collaboration in the works. Adding Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead would be a perfect fit for the game, and this Instagram interaction is hopefully a sign of that.

Dead by Daylight Could Feature Actor Norman Reedus

If this ends up being an unofficial confirmation of a new crossover, the biggest question lies in whether Dead by Daylight will feature Daryl Dixon or the actor Norman Reedus as himself. This wouldn’t be the first time that Dead by Daylight has featured a beloved actor playing themselves, as Nicolas Cage recently became part of the game. Also, Norman Reedus is no stranger to the world of video games. He was once part of Hideo Kojima’s now-canceled Silent Hills project, which eventually led to Reedus and Kojima working together on Death Stranding. Reedus is an actor who seems quite interested in the world of video games, so being featured in Dead by Daylight as himself is a real possibility as well.

As of now, there is no clear confirmation from Dead by Daylight‘s developer, Behaviour Interactive, but Reedus’ Instagram activity is definitely something that might make a Walking Dead fan excited. It’s highly possible that Reedus could just be a huge fan of the game and followed Dead by Daylight for updates, but hopefully there will be an exciting Daryl Dixon announcement in the near future.
