THE WALKING DEAD fans saw Carl Grimes’ brutal end last night after weeks of anticipation and with Chandler Riggs now out of a job, the young actor has begun looking at a different career path.
The Walking Dead: Season 8 part 2 trailer
Chandler has appeared on The Walking Dead as Carl, the son of protagonist Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln), since the very first episode.
But after a shock turn of events in December, where Carl revealed that he had been bitten by a walker earlier on in the series, fans of the show have been waiting for his on screen death.
After being shot in the chest, and losing his eye, the walker bite is not something he could get away from – ensuring that he would be dead by the end of the season.
With the final minutes of Carl’s life shown on screen in last night’s episode, Chandler has set his sights on moving on to a new career.

His pinned tweet details his alter-ego: “eclipse”.
Chandler has been releasing electronic music on SoundCloud for two months, and so far has released four complete tracks.
He has combined these songs into a fully fledged EP, titled “lunar”.

Venturing on to eclipse’s Twitter reveals that he performed at his first concert last night in Los Angeles.
Each track has an artist features on it, showing that he has been hard at work perfecting his sound.
Also last night, Chandler tweeted about his character’s exit ahead of the show’s air time.
He emotionally revealed: “It was always for the fans, and it always will be.

“So thank you for giving me this chance to let me pursue my dream and continue to make you angry, sad, happy, and everything in between. I won’t let you down.”
Chandler recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Carl’s emotional final scene, where he said: “He knew that they were going to have to bury him anyways and that was definitely going to suck, but he figured that was the least he could do to help out.
“It was a really kind of empowering thing because it’s showing that he was really the only one that could take himself out and put himself down.”
The Walking Dead airs tonight at 9pm on FOX UK.
