The actor says she loves that Skims “makes everyone look and feel amazing.”
Nicola Coughlan can add modeling to her ever-growing list of career accolades.
The “Bridgerton” star appears in a new campaign for Skims, Kim Kardashian’s brand of loungewear, shapewear and underwear, and she looks simply stunning.
Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington on the hit Netflix series, dons three dresses from the Skims soft lounge collection in the ad campaign.
In one shot, the actor shows off her beautiful curves in a long and summery citrus dress with spaghetti straps as she leans to the side and holds her hand against an eye-catching backdrop.
Coughlan rocks a light pink strappy dress in the next shot as she poses in front of a bold floral background. Seen from the waist up, the star looks off into the distance as she parts her lips.
The final photo shows Coughlan sporting a gray long-sleeved dress that accentuates her figure. As she lies down in the shot, the actor clutches her décolletage and closes her eyes.
Couglan said in a statement she was “so honoured” to be part of this latest campaign from Skims.
“I’ve been a fan of Skims since the beginning. It’s been my on set lounging outfit since day one. I love that it’s a brand that makes everyone look and feel amazing,” the actor said in a press release.
Coughlan also expressed her love for the current collection, which features soft, ribbed loungewear and sleepwear.
“The soft lounge styles are incredibly flattering, comfortable, and so soft, and so beautiful. Whether I’m wearing them at home or on set I always feel incredible in Skims,” she said in her statement.
Kardashian explained why she decided to cast Coughlan in the campaign in her own statement.
“Everyone knows I’ve been a huge fan of Nicola and ‘Bridgerton’ since the beginning, so for her to star in our soft lounge campaign is a full-circle moment!” she said. “Nicola is such an inspiration on screen and beyond, and she really brought the campaign to life with her undeniable beauty and energy.”
In 2022, Coughlan spoke with Bustle about the first time she interacted with Kardashian.
“I woke up one morning (in 2021) and had a DM from Kim Kardashian,” she said. “I was like, ‘What is going on?’ So weird! We talked about ‘Bridgerton.’”
Coughlan also contacted Kardashian to wish her luck before she hosted “Saturday Night Live.”
“I messaged Kim to say, ‘You’re gonna do great!’ And she said, ‘Thanks, I’m really nervous,’” she said. “I told her, ‘No, you’re gonna kill it.’”
While talking about her rapport with Kardashian, the actor said, “She’s so nice. I’d heard that about her from lots of different people, and I can attest to it now.”
