Kim Kardashian is a billionaire who owns dozens of Hermes Birkin bags which range in price from $50,000 to $500,000.

One even has a nude painting on it.

So when she put her Hermes bag on the ground next to sticky popcorn when courtside at a basketball game days ago, it was not a big deal to her.

But her fans sure did flip out.

It wasn’t just any old model that flies off shelves but rather a rare crocodile version in a chocolate brown shade.

Kim barely glanced at the bag as she wore a white T-shirt and black leather slacks at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers were taking on the Golden State Warriors on March 16.

Next to her was son Saint, eight, whom she shares with ex Kanye West. He had on a Lakers jersey.

When a photo of her at the fame appeared on Instagram, trolls said she was ‘crazy’ to put the item on the dirty floor.

‘She crazy to let that beautiful thing be near feet. She needs a style check up!’ said one.

Another said there was popcorn near the floor which was likely sticky from butter: ‘Corn n croc don’t mix honey,’ sniped the hater.

Also at the same game were Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck as well as bad Bunny, who used to date Kendall Jenner.

This comes a month after Kim got backlash for listing a ‘dirty’ Hermès Birkin bag on her family’s resale website, called Kardashian Kloset.

The SKIMS founder, 43 — who has a number of unique Hermès bags in her collection — is asking for $70K for the rare grey matte alligator purse, which was listed as in ‘good condition.’

However, a further description of the handbag adds that there is ‘some discoloration on handles and underside bottom corners, and minor scratching on metal.’

The description also specifies that the bag does not come with a CITES certificate – a document needed when you plan to travel with a bag or accessory that is made out of exotic leather, which includes alligator.

Fans quickly took issue with the billionaire trying to resell a used bag, with one person on Reddit writing, ‘Seriously how desperate are they for money?’

But her fans sure did flip out with one saying she was 'crazy'

Another person added, ‘This is so embarrassing. Why don’t they get it restored by H before selling it?’

‘The nerve to list at that price with all of the discolouration in the handles and wear & tear on the bottom and lower corners…. sKam artists,’ someone else added.

The comments continued, with yet another user writing: ’70 k for a dirty bag, holy hell!’

‘The hardware is all scuffed and dull, the edges are worn and slightly frayed, and it’s discolored from makeup/tanner. Just wow. Anyone who buys this from them is an idiot, they can’t even be bothered to restore it or have it stored properly. Is this even a real piece? They really have no shame!’

‘The kind of people who have 70k to spend on a bag, wouldn’t they just buy a brand new one? If you have 70k to spend on a bag why would you want second hand Kardashian bags?’

Many wondered about the brown discoloration on the handles, with one fan asking, ‘Is that from her tanner spray?’

‘That’s very dirty,’ another fan quipped.

‘Is this even real?’ one person wondered.

However, the $70K price tag may not be the worst deal, as similar bags in new condition can be found for $120,000.

The mother-of-four — who showed off her purse collection in her handbag closet inside her $60 million Hidden Hills, California mansion earlier this month — has listed a number of her luxury handbags on the resale website.

Earlier this month, she listed a peacock blue Porosus Crocodile Birkin bag from her for $49,995.

She also listed two other Birkins, and a number of Louis Vuitton duffle bags and Chanel items.

Kim has been spotted wearing numerous different Birkins throughout the years.

Last November she was seen carrying her massively oversized Hermès Birkin 50 HAC Gris Tourterelle Shiny Porosous Crocodile bag, which according to Jane Finds is worth a staggering $110,000.

Last July she was seen rocking a very rare Birkin bag — which appeared to be the Diamond Himalaya Niloticus crocodile Birkin 30 — worth over $300K, while attending a soccer match in Japan.

In 2020 she was also seen holding her custom Hermès Birkin tote, featuring a nude painting by famous contemporary artist, George Condo, that her now ex-husband Kanye, 46, gave to her as a Christmas gift in 2013.

The Birkin bag was named for the late English songstress Jane Birkin, who shot to international fame as the muse of French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg.

Over the past few decades the purses have acquired an exalted status as a social marker, signifying exclusivity and enviable wealth.

The original run of Sex And The City had an episode where Samantha (Kim Cattrall) goes to increasingly desperate lengths to bypass the five-year waiting list she would have to slog through to get her hands on a Birkin.

Jane Birkin herself once recalled that ‘when I went to America in an interview they said: “You mean Birkin, like the bag?” I said: “Well, now, the bag is going to sing!”‘

Earlier this month Kim showed off her vast Balenciaga purse collection, featuring 129 bags.

Each purse costs about $3,000 and if she has 129, that means there was almost $400,000 worth of product in the room. That is just about the average cost of a home in the United States.
