Princess Diana Exhibition to Open at Arlington Museum of Art
Experience the grace, humanity, and indelible legacy of Princess Diana through an intimate collection of iconic photographs and stories, coming through North Texas this January.
It’s 2025, and just when you thought the enigma of Princess Diana couldn’t feel any closer, the Arlington Museum of Art is rolling out a red carpet of memories and meaning. Their latest exhibition, “Princess Diana: Accredited Access,” lands on January 17, bringing the extraordinary life of Diana Spencer into vivid focus. The exhibit isn’t just a feast for the eyes — it’s a deep dive into the lens of those who knew her best, the late Anwar Hussein and his sons, Samir and Zak, the Royal Family’s most trusted photographers.
More than 100 photographs, each one larger than life at five-by-eight feet, chart Diana’s journey from the shy kindergarten teacher caught in the royal whirlwind to a global icon of compassion and style. As you walk through the exhibit’s eight themed sections — The Photography Dark Room, Growing, Glam, Hats & Tiaras, Art Installations, Working Royals, Humanitarian, and Unguarded — you’ll hear the voices of the Husseins themselves, recounting the untold stories behind their extraordinary images. Through an immersive audio guide, they pull back the curtain on the candid, tender, and often surprising moments that defined Diana’s life.
And then there are the showstoppers — bespoke art installations by multimedia artist Pauline Loctin, inspired by Diana’s most iconic fashion moments. Loctin’s work bridges past and present, turning timeless elegance into contemporary masterpieces. Think of it as Diana’s world, reimagined in paper, light, and texture — a celebration of her enduring influence on art and culture.
“Accredited Access” debuted in the United States in 2021, captivating audiences coast to coast. Now, it makes its way to North Texas, promising a uniquely personal look at the woman who redefined what it meant to be a princess. Whether she’s captivating crowds in tiaras or quietly comforting AIDS patients, Diana’s humanity and magnetism shine through every frame.
Considered by many to be the most photographed woman of her time, visitors to this exhibition can see her grow from a shy young woman to the global icon she became.
From the regal to the raw, the “Princess Diana: Accredited Access” exhibition invites visitors to step into her world — to feel the weight of her crown, the spark of her laughter, and the power of her legacy.
