Z Nation Season 6? SYFY’s popular zombie show Z Nation could be getting reanimated.
Creators The Asylum put out an image promising a ”major announcement soon” after the show’s ”brief break”.
That break came when the show was suddenly canceled back in 2018 after five seasons despite reasonable success. It initially ran for 68 episodes and did get an in-universe follow-up in the form of Black Summer, which took a less jovial look at the zombie apocalypse than its predecessor. That only got two seasons, though.
Z Nation to Rise Up Again
Will it be Z-Nation Season 6? A movie? Will the old gang be returning? Or will it be a reboot? My personal suspicion is that given it’s The Asylum, who like to ape pop-culture juggernauts (Z-Nation is very much a response to The Walking Dead), this will be taking a similar path to The Walking Dead spinoff shows. perhaps following old characters in different locations?
Whatever’s next, hopefully, it won’t be too long until we find out.
Z Nation followed the survivors of a zombie virus three years after the cataclysmic event. A group band together to transport the only possible cure for the plague across the country. A man who appears to be immune to the effects of the disease.
Z Nation starred Russell Hodgkinson (Sharknado 5), Nat Zang, Keith Allan (Star Trek: Enterprise), Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), Anastasia Baranova (God of War: Ragnarok), and DJ Qualls (Road Trip)
