ROB GRONKOWSKI was absent from Fox NFL Sunday for the second time this season.

The New England Patriots legend had already missed the Week 1 broadcast of the program.

The 35-year-old returned last week, when he was scheduled to appear alongside Michael Strahan and Co.

But he was nowhere to be seen for their Week 3 show, with Strahan on air alongside Terry Bradshaw.

Dallas Cowboys icon Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long and host Kurt Menefee completed the team.

But Gronkowski was not there – leading to many fans speculating on his absence on social media.

One said on X: “Where is Gronk?”

Another added: “No Gronk on Fox?”

And a third asked: “Where’s Gronk?!”

Gronkowski has now taken up a new role with Fox after being analyst from 2022-24.

The four-time Super Bowl winner will not only be a contributor to Fox NFL Sunday.

This means he will not be on every week, and will only appear now and again on the show.

He will also be seen on the Fox NFL Kickoff show, just before the main program airs on TV.

That will be on the main channel from 11am eastern time for an hour.

That will be followed by Fox NFL Sunday for the huge American football coverage of the day.

Gronkowski will be joined by Patriots icon Tom Brady on Fox for the 2024-25 season.

Off-script Gronk

Rob Gronkowski went so far off script in the Tom Brady roast that some feared if he would come back, Drew Bledsoe said.

Former Patriots and Buccaneers tight end Gronkowski had a number of jokes about his ex-teammate Brady.

But apparently not all of them were part of the plan.

“We all appreciate Gronk because he just gets to be Gronk,” Bledsoe told The Dan Patrick Show.

“But the funny thing is we were all sitting up there on the stage and we can see the teleprompter.

“Gronk was so far off script that we did not know if he was coming back.”

“Always make it back!!” responded Gronkowski with a host of laughing emojis on X.

The 47-year-old signed a $375 million contract to become a commentator.

“I think Tom is going to be excellent”, Gronkowski told Bleacher Report.

“There’s nothing in the world he’s ever done and bombed.

“He prepares way too well, and that’s why he was the greatest quarterback of all time.

“He knows how to prepare. He’s going to take his time like it’s game day and he’s playing in the game.

“I’ve seen him study, I’ve seen him practice and get ready for games every Sunday.”
