The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus has landed his next lead movie role in The Housewife.
The new psychological drama, which will start filming in June, comes from director Ben Shirinian, and is based on a true story that took place in 1964.
Focusing on a determined young New York Times journalist (played by Ready Player One’s Tye Sheridan), we follow the character as he tracks down a potential Nazi officer who secretly resides in Queens.

He becomes friendly with the suspect’s elegant and charming wife (The Watcher’s Naomi Watts), as his investigation starts to create unsettling implications.
Also on board to star is The White Lotus’ Michael Imperioli, though details of his and Reedus’s roles remain under wraps for now.
Reedus is perhaps best known for playing Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead franchise, recently reprising the role for his own self-titled spin-off.
Daryl Dixon became an immediate success upon its debut in September, achieving the biggest premiere for streaming service AMC+ in its history.

The show has also been renewed for a second season, and AMC Studios for AMC Networks’ president of entertainment Dan McDermott previously reflected on its success.
“What a thrill to have this most recent installment in The Walking Dead Universe arrive to set records on AMC+ and deliver steady viewership growth over its first four weeks on AMC,” he said.
“Thanks to Norman Reedus for bringing his ‘bad decisions’ to France, to David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Clémence Poésy and the rest of the outstanding cast and to the most passionate and committed fans in entertainment.
“There is so much more and so many great surprises to come for this show and across this expanding universe.”
The Housewife is yet to confirm a release date. The Walking Dead aired on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
