According to a conspiracy theory, Eminem didn’t just drop a hit with The Monster—he also allegedly released Diddy’s grip on Rihanna in the process!
A bizarre theory connects Eminem and Rihanna’s song ‘The Monster’ to a rumor that Diddy had control over Rihanna, and that Eminem helped her break free.
The song’s lyrics, “I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed…” are interpreted by some as a reference to Diddy, adding fuel to the conspiracy.
Eminem has openly dissed Diddy in several tracks including ‘Killshot’ and ‘Fuel.’
After Diddy’s alleged crimes have come to light thanks to a domino effect started by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, there are a ton of conspiracy theories floating around the Internet. We are not going to lie; many do seem pretty believable but some are so far-fetched that wrapping our heads around it. Eminem’s name has been coming up in the scenario ever since the lyrics for his song Fuel became popular on the Internet.

Now, a conspiracy theory regarding Eminem, Diddy, and Rihanna has made its way to the Internet and while it does sound pretty out there, anything is possible at this point. The wild theory has something to do with Eminem and Rihanna’s hit song, The Monster, and it just might make you go, “WTF?”
Bizarre Conspiracy Theory Links ‘The Monster’ to Diddy
Conspiracy theories are always a bit out there but we can’t deny, that sometimes we do fall for them like a cat chasing a laser pointer. Come on, do they actually sound that crazy when you really deep dive into them? Well, this one might.
Back in the day, there were rumors running wild on the Internet that Diddy had a tunnel leading to Rihanna’s house. Of course, an outlandish theory like this one probably got a few laughs from people and was a good means of entertainment before it got buried under the ground.
Now, the rumor has sprung up once again but this time, it might make more sense than before. According to the conspiracy theory, Eminem was a great help in rescuing Rihanna from the claws of Diddy and breaking free from his control.
How? Well, apparently, Eminem and Rihanna’s 2013 song, The Monster, was narrating the above-mentioned rumor. The lyrics in question go,
I’m friends with the monster that’s under my bed,
And you think I’m crazy, yeah, you think I’m crazy.
Get along with the voices inside of my head.
You’re tryin’ to save me, stop holding your breath,
Speculations stated that Diddy would have faced retaliation from not only Eminem but also Dr. Dre and 50 Cent if he didn’t stop targeting the Umbrella singer. Pretty crazy, right?
Eminem Openly Disses Diddy
As Eminem turns 52, we look back at the open attacks he made toward Diddy in his songs. The rapper who changed the hip-hop scene in America has always shocked his listeners with lyrics that blow your mind away. Sometimes, his verses hit you so hard that you’re left thinking about them for days. That’s just how Eminem rolls!
Back in 2018, he came out with the song Killshot which was a diss track aimed at Machine Gun Kelly but ended up pulling Diddy into the mix, as well. The lyrics go, “Kells, the day you put out a hit is the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed.” Brutal.
More recently, he released Fuel as part of his 12th Studio Album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Now, this is the song that had social media going crazy because of its references to Diddy. During one part of the song, Eminem states,
I’m like a R-A-P-E-R (yeah)
Got so many S-As (S-As), S-As (huh)
Wait, he didn’t just spell the word, “Rapper” and leave out a P, did he? (Yep).
Of course, the “P, did he?” refers to P Diddy here. In the Shady Edition of the track, he raps,
Notorious B.I.G.’s death was the domino effect of
2Pac’s murder, like facial tissue, whose clock should I clean next? Puff’s?
‘Til he’s in police handcuffs, guilty, will he step up?
These aren’t the only instances he mentions Diddy in his tracks. Songs like F-cking Crazy and I’m Back also take a jab at the industry mogul. Eminem really doesn’t believe in holding back, does he?
