She wore the splashy look to accept Billboard’s Artist of the Year award.
Megan Thee Stallion delivered a head-turning fashion statement while out in New York City on Thursday evening.
The rapper was honored as the Artist of the Year at Billboard’s 2024 R&B Hip-Hop Power Players event. For the special occasion, she brought her fashion A game by stepping out in a fabulous party dress.
The centerpiece of her sultry look was a floor-grazing gown in a dusty mauve. The dress featured a draping halter neckline that plunged all the way down to her belly button, plus ruched details and a draping center fold at her waistline. The back of the dress kept the party going with more figure-hugging ruching and a backless design held together by circular gold rings.
Outside the venue, Megan accessorized her look with a tiny gold metallic bag and matchy strappy sandals.
Billboard editorial director Hannah Karp introduced Megan ahead of the Artist of the Year award presentation, listing off the musician’s many accomplishments in 2024. “There’s only one woman who has topped the Hot 100 with a rap song this year, and I am thrilled to have her with us tonight,” she said. “On top of it all, as a philanthropist, an activist, a college graduate, an entrepreneur, and a fitness coach that’s keeping us all in great shape, she is an incredible role model—not just for everyone in this business, but for our children and for music fans around the world.”
Megan expressed her gratitude to her loved ones in her acceptance speech: “First of all, I want to thank God, yes, period. And then I want to thank my angels, my mama, my daddy, my granny, because I know they watching over me and nothing would be possible without them,” she said.
