Sunday’s finale of AMC’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is intended to be the end of the line for the limited series. At the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, the trio did their damnedest not to tip their hand. Almost in unison, Gurira responded to TVLine’s question about a possible Season 2 with “Can’t answer that” as Gimple said, “Let’s just be quiet on this one.”
“Well, I die in the last episode,” joked Lincoln.
“Oops,” responded his leading lady. “No.”
“Or he’s doing a little psyop, and maybe he actually does,” Gimple suggested. “I would say anything is possible, even if Rick dies in the last episode. Anything is possible.

“Getting it to this point,” she continued, “was a labor of love.” (With reporting by Matt Webb Mitovich)
