Kendall Jenner fully admits to suffering from anxiety since the tender age of seven, but none of that apparently had to do with competing with her ‘little’ sister Kylie Jenner.

‘Growing up with [four] sisters, you would think it would be the opposite,’ the 28-year-old Society Management Model said in her new Vogue cover story.

‘Even with my little sister — the biggest thing we would fight over was the TV remote. There was never that who’s-better-dressed, who’s-prettier thing. It was always: You’re you, I’m me.

‘I’ve never thought of my career as a competition, and that’s thanks to awesome sisters. I really do me, and if you don’t like it, that’s okay. But I trust that me being the most authentic version of myself will get me to the places it needs to get me.’

Kendall and the 26-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder first teamed up as teenagers to launch Kendall + Kylie collaborations with PacSun, Topshop, Gillette, Steve Madden, Pascal Mouawad’s Glamhouse, and Glu Mobile.

But things weren’t so amicable in 2009 when their momager Kris Jenner agreed to help Jenner launch her modeling career at age 14 by setting her up with a business appointment at the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency.

In the Keeping Up with the Kardashians season four episode – titled ‘Weekend from Hell’ – Kylie was outraged over this: ‘You can help her model, but it’s just going to get to her head and all of us are gonna be in her little throne path and listening to her. We’re gonna be like, “Oh my god! You’re right! You’re like the coolest in the family because you model only when you’re 14!”‘

The Khy founder then attempted to get the 68-year-old matriarch to help her model and the 818 Tequila founder was visibly angry: ‘She’s just trying to take my shine and that’s not even cool!’

Kylie then violently hurled her self-made modeling portfolio towards Kris, screaming: ‘Honestly, you guys always favor Kendall and it’s so annoying!’

In truth, both ambitious siblings have allegedly used extreme tactics to transform themselves to push their careers forward, especially if you compare Kendall’s face now from how she looked back in 2012.

Kendall and Kylie and the rest of their famous family will executive produce and star in the 10-episode fifth season of The Kardashians, which premieres May 23 on Hulu.

On February 19, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off won reality show of the year at the People’s Choice Awards after winning the best docu-reality series trophy at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards.
