Eminem’s turbulent relationship with Kim Mathers was well documented in his songs and he married and divorced the mom of his daughter Hailie twice

Eminem ‘s ex-wife Kim Mathers has revealed that she’s on good terms with the rapper ahead of their daughter Hailie Jade’s wedding.

Kim gave birth to her daughter Hailie Jade Mathers in 1998 and married Eminem a year later. Both mother and daughter were frequently referenced in Eminem’s songs as he rapped about their turbulent family dynamic.

But now Kim has revealed that they have put their difficult past behind them and are now “on good terms” as and they plan to reunite at their daughter Hailie’s wedding to her long-term partner Evan McClintock. When asked if they would both attend the wedding, Kim said: “Yes, of course.”

When asked how often she saw her ex-husband Eminem, real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III, she said: “Not often, but often enough!” Speaking to The Sun, she also joked that their daughter Alaina’s wedding to Matt Moeller in Detroit, Michigan in June was “extravagant”.

Speaking previously to People, Alaina revealed her dad, Eminem, walked her down the aisle after fans speculated that he didn’t attend because he wasn’t in any photographs. “I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle, and my dad walked me down the aisle. He wasn’t going to miss that,” she said.

It is now 27-year-old Hailie’s turn to get married but she hasn’t confirmed the date of her wedding or any other details. She met her long-term boyfriend Evan in 2016 at Michigan State University.

Eminem documented his tumultuous family life in his songs – including references to Kim and Hailie. In the song ’97 Bonnie & Clyde, released in 1998, he raps about disposing of Kim’s body in a lake and taking his infant daughter to the pier where it happens.

Inthe track Kim, released in 2000, he raps about killing her again and putting her body in the trunk of his car. In real life, the couple separated when their daughter was a child and their first divorce was finalized in 2001. It was reported at the time that they had joint custody of Hailie. They later remarried briefly for a couple of months in 2006.
