Netflix just released season 3 of Emily In Paris, and it once again proved Mindy deserves better, but it can be fixed in season 4. Mindy is the best friend and comedic relief of the show, but her rich backstory, struggle, and depth make her one of the show’s best aspects. Like Emily, Mindy also has her defects, being an heiress makes it difficult to pity a character who is supposed to be a struggling artist. Nonetheless, Mindy is likable because she is an incredible partner and friend. Unfortunately, Mindy hasn’t had as much luck as Emily on the show.

Mindy constantly got close to what she wanted in Emily in Paris season 3, only to have it snatched away. Mindy was with Benoit, her seemingly supportive and perfect boyfriend, but the arrival of Nicolas proved they still had some trust issues. Then, Mindy gave Nicolas a chance, but he ended up being manipulative. Finally, there was Mindy’s career. This season she was given the opportunity to sing at a well-known jazz club, but just when she was hitting her stride, they ended her contract. Mindy couldn’t seem to catch a break in season 3, so season 4 must do better.

Emily In Paris Can Give Mindy A Big Opportunity In Season 4

Emily In Paris season 3 ended with a major cliffhanger, but there are plenty of other unanswered questions, like, “What is going to happen with Eurovision?” In the season finale, Benoit tells Mindy the song they collaborated on was picked by Eurovision, so Emily in Paris season 4 has the chance to give Mindy the big break she deserves. Her employment at the jazz club offered further proof of her talent, and her subsequent departure demonstrated that she knew her worth. Mindy is talented and deserves an opportunity like Eurovision because she’s worked hard for it. If Emily is rewarded every season for mediocre work, then it’s Mindy’s turn to thrive.

Will Mindy Stay With Nicolas De Leon?

Emily In Paris season 3 introduced new characters, one of which Mindy started dating. Nicolas De Leon is part of one of the most influential families in Paris fashion and an executive at his father’s company, JVMA. Unfortunately, Mindy was put in the middle of his and Emily’s work drama. Nicolas’ treatment of Emily at Mindy’s party was manipulative, but Mindy called him on it, and he apologized, so things are okay between them currently. However, this likely won’t last since Benoit will be around in season 4. If Nicolas was that calculating with Emily, surely he would slip up again seeing Mindy and Benoit together.

Emily In Paris has occasionally received negative reviews, with some viewers claiming Emily is unaware of how her actions affect others, and it’s clear this hasn’t changed in season 3. In season 3, episode 8, Emily set Nicolas up to fail in front of his entire family and didn’t give Mindy a heads-up, considering they were dating at the time. Mindy, of course, handled the situation with grace and calmly explained how she felt to Emily the next day. However, this incident further proves that Mindy deserves better from not just her romantic partners in Emily In Paris season 4 but also from her friends.
