The 1980s met the 2020s and the Middle Ages in New Jersey this week.
Actors Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton, known for their roles in Netflix mega hit “Stranger Things,” enjoyed some dinner and tournament at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst this past weekend.
In a souvenir from the June 15 visit shared by a Dyer fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Dyer and Heaton pose for a post-show photo with friends (see below), gamely donning elf ears for the occasion.
British actor Heaton, 30, plays Jonathan Byers in the ’80s-set Netflix series, which is saturated in the movie tropes and cinematic look of the era. Dyer, 29, who hails from Tennessee, plays Nancy Wheeler.
The “Stranger Things” actors are an item onscreen as well as off, with Byers and Wheeler dating in the show and Heaton and Dyer known to be a couple since 2016, when the supernatural series debuted on Netflix.
They share a SAG Award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series for “Stranger Things.”
The series is in production on its fifth and final season, which was delayed because of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes in 2023.
As it stands, the final eight episodes look to be landing in 2025.
But Dyer fans can catch her much sooner, safely outside of the Upside Down.
She stars in the film “Chestnut,” which will be in theaters Friday and and have a digital release July 2 (see trailer below).
