Cardi B has responded to a slew of unflattering comments regarding her professional career and personal life, proving that as her multiplatinum debut suggests, she’s wholly against invasion of her privacy.

Recently, the music star took to social media to clap back at a social media user who suggested that her recent releases were all unsuccessful and poorly received. “Cardi laughing when her new collab made 0 noise is crazy,” the person wrote in a post on X. “Like girl you got all them #1s and every song you drop either flops or you get no credit.”

In turn, Cardi shut down the notion that her singles underperform commercially, arguing that her songs are more popular than other female artists’ biggest songs to date. “My flops do better than any of these bit*hes best performing songs,” the 31-year-old wrote in response.

“FACTS!! Btches should’ve left me alone cuz I WASN’T BOTHERING NOBODY!!!” she added, going on to promote her long-awaited sophomore album. “Now get your coins ready for this album so I can teach yall, little glitter butt.”

Cardi B’s most recent solo single, “Enough (Miami)” peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion reached No. 14 on the chart.

Only three Cardi B singles have failed to crack the Top 20: Invasion of Privacy single “Ring” featuring Kehlani peaked at No. 28, FendiDa Rappa’s “Point Me 2” which fell at No. 82, and “Puntería” with Shakira, which topped out at No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Despite the massive success and acclaim garnered by Invasion of Privacy, which yielded the rapper a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and produced multiple chart-topping singles, Cardi B has been subjected to an uptick in scrutiny due to the delay of a proper follow-up to her debut.

Earlier this year, the artist announced that her yet-to-be-titled sophomore album will not be arriving in 2024, as previously promised, leadings critics to question whether she had succumbed to her self-admitted anxiety surrounding the album’s creation.

“I used to love to make music. But now, making music to me has become a job that gives me anxiety,” Cardi told her fans on social media in December 2023. “Everybody just critique everything that I do, and sometimes you just don’t want to do something that may give you that much anxiety. I just be freezing myself.”

In another instance of the hitmaker lashing out, Cardi recently responding to an online report by Icy Scoop News stating she was “fighting to make payments” on her and Offset’s Georgia home and that it was in jeaopardy of going into foreclosure.

“LMAOOO You bum bi**hes wish,” Cardi wrote, seemingly scoffing at the purported news. “Me and Offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7.”

She continued, adding, “Check the Atlanta market. And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.” Icy Scoop News’ post has since been deleted.
