Titular character Emily Cooper “feels drawn to a potential new love interest… and a new city,” according to a Netflix synopsis
Emily in Paris is saying au revoir to Paris and ciao to Rome!
In the first look images for part 2 of season 4 of the Netflix series, marketing executive Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, is off on a new adventure in the Eternal City — and as always, she’s dressing the part.
Whether hopping a ride on a Vespa with a mystery man (Eugenio Franceschini) or hanging out with her best friend Mindy (Ashley Park), Emily makes a bold statement in a series of colorful, high-fashion looks amid her Roman holiday.

The new episodes will pick up after Emily and chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) finally said those three big words to each other — “I love you.” But have they really found their happily ever after, or will complications get in the way of their blossoming romance?
Per Netflix’s official synopsis of season 4, “Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star [for his restaurant], but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of. As old patterns clash with new complications, Emily feels drawn to a potential new love interest… and a new city.”
Emily has secrets at work and mixed feelings in her heart — and all of the drama is drawing her to Rome, but she’s growing along the journey.
Producer and director Andrew Fleming told USA Today that Emily is no longer “the wide-eyed newbie in the office and the fish out of water in Paris.”

“She’s more comfortable and in touch with herself, and has more of a sense of confidence,” Fleming added of the character’s evolution.
But Emily is not the only person with a complicated life.
Mindy is juggling her budding music career along with her relationship with fashion scion Nicolas, which has hit a snag amid a scandal involving Nicolas’ powerful father.

Plus, Camille (Camille Razat) has secrets of her own. Heading into part two, she has a lot of big decisions to make that might change who she is at her core.
Fleming told USA Today that Razat, 30, “is really wonderful in the second half” of the latest season.

“We have such a fantastic cast, and there’s a lot more emotional stuff this season,” he added.
Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 1 is now streaming and Part 2 will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, Sept. 12.
