Eminem is back—back again. He’s returned with his new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which easily conquers a number of charts in America as it arrives. The set brings the rapper to the highest rung on a number of lists he knows well, and it also helps him soar to the summit of a ranking he’s never dominated before.
The Death of Slim Shady launches at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart this week. The list was introduced by Billboard in 2023 to show which full-lengths and EPs earn the most streams on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music each tracking frame.

The Death of Slim Shady takes over control of the Top Streaming Albums chart from a title that just reached the throne. Zach Bryan’s The Great American Bar Scene is forced down from the top rung to No. 2. Last week, it hit No. 1 for the first time after initially debuting at No. 18.
Eminem’s latest release was a huge success on streaming sites when it dropped. In fact, its plays on those platforms are largely to thank for its lofty placement on a number of Billboard charts. In its first seven days of availability, The Death of Slim Shady racked up just over 220 million streams.
All those streams—paired with more than 110,000 purchases—helped make The Death of Slim Shady the biggest album in the country. The set debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this frame, giving Eminem his eleventh career champion.
