Liam Payne’s haunting “funeral tweet” from 14 years ago has resurfaced after his untimely passing. On 31 December 2010, Liam shared a post asking: “If I died would you come to ma funeral…? ,” thought to be borrowed from a song by JLS.

This sombre reflection was spotlighted as Directioners paid homage with images of bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik at Payne’s poignant tribute service on 20 November 2024.

The pop star met a tragic end on 16 October 2024 following an accidental fall from a third-floor balcony during a vacation in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Emotions ran high underneath the decade-old tweet with fans leaving a trail of sorrowful emojis and heartfelt messages.
