Mon Dieu!
Lucas Bravo, 36, who stars on the Netflix hit “Emily in Paris” is over it.
According to the Times, in a recent interview with the French newspaper Le Figaro, Bravo said he’s feeling finished with the show because “Life is short. It takes five months to shoot this series. Do I want to sacrifice them by telling something that does not stimulate me?”
He added, “I do not want to be a part of a cog that does not tend to take the intelligence of viewers into consideration.”

“Emily in Paris” has been renewed for Season 5, which is expected to air mid to late 2025. The show premiered in 2020 and was reportedly seen by 58 million households that year. It follows Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), an American who moves to Paris, where she juggles her career and love life.
Bravo isn’t the first person to sneer at the intellect — or lack thereof — of “Emily in Paris.”
In 2021, Brooklyn sports writer Greg Wyshynski told The Post, “Remember that scene in ‘Goodfellas’ where they slice the garlic with the razor so it just melts away in the pasta sauce? That’s how thin the characters, plots and stakes are for this television program.”
He continued, “No one learns. No one grows. Emily is less protagonist than a passenger in the back of a Parisian taxi … But it’s a good hate watch because it’s not aggressively bad or infuriating. It’s just pretty and it’s there.”
Jenny Marston, a London blogger, who watches the show, also told The Post, “It’s definitely quite problematic in parts, hugely stereotyped and highly unrealistic. Particularly in the way that Emily’s Internet fame took off almost literally overnight! All of these things are enough to make you inwardly cringe but because it was such a quirky, fun and light-hearted watch, that’s what kept people tuning in.”

Bravo plays Gabriel, the chef who is Emily’s sometimes-lover.
The actor said that Gabriel and Emily’s relationship was rooted in a “1990s idea that lovers pull apart, kiss [and] pull apart again.”
He added, “Everything is based on a lack of communication. It’s a bit archaic. Today, the new generation expresses [its emotions] and confronts [them]. I would like [Gabriel] to rediscover a bit of panache.”

Bravo is also starring in “Libre,” a French movie about a robber.
“I don’t really have any freedom [in Emily in Paris] and as people are starting to give it to me elsewhere, I am getting a taste for it,” he said.
The Post reached out to Netflix for comment.
