After years of rumors that Princess Diana’s riding instructor James Hewitt, not King Charles, is Prince Harry’s biological father, a new memoir clarifies their relationship.

Shocking Revelation On Princess Diana: After years of rumors that Princess Diana’s riding instructor James Hewitt, not King Charles, is Prince Harry’s biological father, a new memoir clarifies their relationship. For a long time, similarities like ginger hair and freckles between Hewitt and Harry fueled these rumors.

Richard Dalton, Diana’s hairdresser, has also spoken out on the scandal and described his close relationship with the late princess, labeling her as a “great pal,” in his new memoir, “It’s All About the Hair”.

Princess Diana Family Traits: Dalton Addresses Rumors About Harry’s Paternity

“It was tough. Harry was already born for some time before her relationship with Hewitt, so I don’t think it’s possible.” To support his claim, Dalton said, “Even Princess Diana’s brother and sister have bright red hair.”

“Harry and the Spencer family have red hair. Charles, Diana’s brother, had bright red hair when he was in college,” he said, noting that he used to cut his hair back then.

He also said that Sarah, Diana’s sister, has bright red hair; the other sister is Jane whose coloring is similar to Diana. He wrote in his book that Diana “used to get very upset” about reports stating Hewitt was Harry’s dad, adding that the “red hair came from the Spencer family.”

Clearing Up The Rumors About Harry’s Fatherhood

According to reports, it was in 1986 when Diana met Hewitt for the first time after Harry was born in 1984. Dalton said in his book that Harry was born way back when Diana hadn’t even met James Hewitt yet. Then he added that the two had a “love affair” lasting for three years from 1989 to 1991. Several times, even Harry and Hewitt themselves dispelled the notion.

Last year, Harry sued a news outlet for allegedly using illegal methods “on an industrial scale” to invade his privacy.

“My mother divorced my father when I was born and told me that he had died, but many newspapers reported a rumor that my biological father was James Hewitt, a man my mother had a relationship with after I was born,” Harry said in a written statement.

“At the time of this article and others like it, I didn’t know that my mother hadn’t met Major Hewitt until after I was born,” he added.

In 2002, Hewitt himself responded to the rumors, saying, “There is no possibility that I am Harry’s father. I understand the interest, but Harry was already walking by the time my relationship with Diana started.”
