The Voice is adding two famous singers to Season 26 – Sting and Jennifer Hudson. Find out what role they’ll each play on the singing competition.

Who Are The Voice Season 26 Mega Mentors?

The Voice announced that legendary singers Sting and Hudson will serve as mega mentors during the Knockouts round which begins airing on November 11. They will provide guidance for the remaining contestants who advanced through the initial rounds.

NBC confirmed the mega mentors news in a press release: “The uber-competitive three-way Knockouts are back. The artists are paired against two other teammates, but this time, they will select their own songs to perform individually while their direct competitors watch and wait,” the statement noted. “Alongside the coaches, genre-bender Sting and vocal powerhouse Hudson will bring their years of experience to guide the artists into their strongest performances yet. Coaches alone choose the winner from their team to advance to the Playoffs, the last round before the Live Shows. Each coach has one save and one steal in this round.”

Hudson will advise Michael Bublé and Reba McEntire’s teams and Sting will work with Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani’s teams. Of course, they bring a wealth of musical experience to the table.

Hudson is an EGOT winner who got her start as a finalist (placing seventh) on the third season of American Idol. She most recently released the holiday album “The Gift of Love” and is busy hosting her third season The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Music legend Sting has won 17 Grammys. He got his start with the band The Police beginning in 1977 and later launched a solo career. He recently kicked off the “Sting 3.0” concert tour.

Hudson has served as a coach on Seasons 13 and 15 of The Voice and a coach on The Voice UK for Seasons 6, 7, and 8. This will be Sting’s debut on The Voice.
