Netflix’s hottest new series “Nobody Wants This” pulled over 26 million viewers since its Sept. 26 release — but Rachel Bilson isn’t one of them.

Bilson, 43, told People that even though she hasn’t sat down to watch the new show, she’s happy about its success.

“I hear everyone loves it and I couldn’t be more excited, ’cause literally Kristen [Bell] and Adam [Brody] both I love, and are like my people,” she said of the rom-com series. “So I’m really excited about it and excited for them.”

Bilson and Brody, 44, dated while playing TV couple Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen on the teen show “The O.C.,” which aired from 2003-2007.

After the pair split in 2006, Bilson dated actor Hayden Christensen for 10 years; the exes share a daughter, Briar, 9. Bilson and Christensen split in 2017. She went on to date actor and comedian Bill Hader, but that was short-lived.

Brody married “Gossip Girl” alum Leighton Meester in 2014 and the couple share two children.

Though the former couple never reunited again on-screen, they have interacted with each other over the years since their early 2000s breakup.

Bilson and Brody ran into each other in 2019 at JFK Airport in New York and took a selfie. Both were heading to California. In 2021, Brody was a guest on Bilson’s “Welcome to the OC, Bitches!” with former co-star Melinda Clarke.

Though it’s been over two decades since the popular Fox series aired, Brody has reprised his heartthrob status as what People is calling the “Adam Brody Renaissance.”

“I feel like it’s always been there,” Bilson, told People at a SimpliSafe launch event. “But if it is, it’s well deserved.”

Bilson continued, saying she would be ecstatic if the show triggered a larger romantic comedy renaissance.

“I’m a huge rom-com person myself, so yeah, I would jump at a chance, just because I am such a movie nerd like that with anything romantic,” Bilson said.

Viewers have gone crazy about the chemistry between Bell (Joanne) and Brody (“Hot Rabbi” Noah) on the show, thanks in part to their steamy kiss.

Brody said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that the chemistry between him and Bell worked so well because they know each other.

“I think there’s some trust there, there’s some familiarity,” Brody said.

Bell, 44, said during an eTalk interview that she can acknowledge while watching the show that it was hot.

“My husband [Dax Shepard] said the same thing. Like, watching the first episode, he was like, ‘Oh my god, I want you to kiss him so badly,’” the “Frozen” actress said.

“I’m not trying to be reductive, but I think there’s a math to it. You have two actors that know how to stare dopily into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to expand that and really sit the anticipatory value before the kiss — which I think is really important,l” she continued.

The final episode of “Nobody Wants This” ended on a cliffhanger as Netflix just renewed the series for a Season 2.

The confirmation was announced at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in LA by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria last week.

Creating ‘Nobody Wants This’ will forever be a career highlight for me. The incredible cast, crew, producers, and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed,” said show creator Erin Foster, whose love life is the inspiration of the series.

Jenni Konner and Kaplan will join the show for Season 2 as executive producers and showrunners. Nora Silver will also be an executive producer for the upcoming season.

Foster told the Hollywood Reporter: “Kristen came into the room with Justine [Lupe, who plays Morgan] to hear some storylines that we were working on. And she says she hasn’t gotten a reaction to anything like this, literally, since ‘Frozen.’”

The 10-episode romantic comedy series is currently streaming on Netflix.
