The studio’s live-action $200 million remake will hit theaters on March 25, 2025, in a reimagining of the 1937 classic.
Plans for Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen to be the fairest of them all are thrown into doubt when Rachel Zegler as the titular Disney Princess looks to restore her Kingdom in the trailer for Disney’s Snow White remake that dropped on Tuesday.
Fleeing to the woods from her stepmother, played by Gadot, Snow White (Zegler) meets her beloved sidekicks — Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy — as they offer safety. But the Disney Princess asks for their support instead.
The trailer offers a first look at Zegler’s powerful ballad Waiting on a Wish, and Snow White faces the Evil Queen disguised as an old woman, offering her that fateful poisoned apple.
Disney’s Snow White, is among the studio’s biggest offerings of the year and is one of the anchors of its spring 2025 slate. From Wicked producers Marc Platt and Jared LeBoff, and directed by Marc Webb, the live-action musical reimagines Disney classic 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with new songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman).
The film was earlier set to open in March 2024, but Disney pushed it back a year amid last year’s SAG-AFTRA strike.
Disney’s Snow White also stars Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman and Martin Klebba as Grumpy.
