50 claims he’s doing his own version of Ebro Darden on social media.

50 Cent has revealed that when he trolls artists on social media, he’s just having fun.

If you follow Fif on Instagram, you know how he gets. He’ll post jokes and memes that poke fun at popular artists and their issues. Speaking to the Hot 97 crew, Fif explained that it’s all in having a good time.

“I’m preconditioned from behaviors that you guys have exercised in front of me. I’ve watched you,” Fif joked. “I’m doing my version of Ebro on my Instagram. It’s not politics — it’s a little more culturally toned in.”

“None of that is really personal, it’s just me having fun at the end of the day,” Fif continued.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Fif also explained his trick to creating hit records — and it involves using the music over other artists. “I would be able to look at someone else’s record and be able to make my version of the record when the right production came around,” he explained. “And it would be a hit again.”

Fif explained that this method was responsible for Lloyd Banks’ 2004 hit song, “On Fire.” He highlighted the similarities between it and Nelly’s 2002 hit song, “Hot in Herre.” “It’s the same record,” Fif admitted. “It’s just new melodies, new production and let Banks do it.”

Late last month, Fif revealed that he’s no longer on good terms with Power’s lead actor, Omari Hardwick.

In a sit down with The Breakfast Club, Fif voiced his opinion about the actor who’s been vocal about believing that he wasn’t fairly compensated for his role. “I think [Omari] overvalues himself, to be honest with you. Since then, it’s been a long time since he hasn’t been in Power. Why are we not excited about the new project,” said Fif. “If there was noise going on and he was that big of a draw, then we would see the noise and the new things happening. We see you out where you’re actively in a place where people are looking for you.”

“He leaves it like it’s me not giving you the money. If he sitting there and he going ‘Courtney and 50 know,’ you saying that, they don’t know who the fuck Courtney is, I introduce people to her,” Fif added. “They don’t know who she is, so you leaving it as ’50 didn’t make sure I got paid.’ Mary [J. Blige] will tell you, she got paid a lot of money on the show while she was there the whole time. I made sure that she was right.”
