A boxing fan won a brand-new Mercedes S-Class 450 at Saturday’s heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

Around 40,000 fans are expected to be in attendance for Fury’s second clash of the year with undefeated Ukrainian Usyk at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, with millions watching the action unfold worldwide via a pay-per-view provider of their choice. The two men initially met at the very same venue back in May, when Usyk handed Fury the first loss of his professional boxing career via split-decision after 12 hard-fought rounds.

Usyk became the heavyweight division’s first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999 thanks to the win, adding the WBC belt to his collection of WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO belts. And Fury will hope to exact revenge on the 37-year-old on Saturday when the two men run it back in front of a capacity crowd.

And while fans inside the Kingdom Arena will be treated to a blockbuster fight for the ages when the two heavyweight giants meet once more, one fan in attendance received a reward during the event’s undercard. There was a brief lull in the action following Serhii Bohachuk’s sixth-round stoppage over Ishmael Davis three from the top of the card, as Saudi Arabian Advisor Turki Alalshikh made his way to the arena’s stage.

There, he stood in front of a big red button, as the announcer explained that he would randomly select the winner of a brand-new Mercedes S-Class 450 to one lucky audience member. Cameras panned around the Kingdom Arena after Alalshikh hit the button, as tension built in rapid fashion.

It then stopped on a gentleman sitting in block S21, row 18, seat 45 who couldn’t believe his luck – thrusting his hands into the air in jubilation as his seat was called while a friend congratulated him. The announcer exclaimed: “Congratulations – come on down and collect the keys to your brand-new, stunning Mercedes S-Class 450,” as the man started rushing to the stage, grinning ear-to-ear.

He shook Alalshik’s hand as he arrived, before posing with the advisor behind a card which read “congratulations”. The two were all smiles as they shared words while the arena cheered. When asked if he wanted to give a speech, the gentleman said: “I’m so happy guys.”

Following the special announcement, Moses Itauma and Demsey McKean took to the ring in the event’s co-main, with 19-year-old Itauma flooring his opponent twice in the first round before the fight was waved off. Fury and Usyk are expected to make their ring walks at around 6:00pm ET.
